Group of Venezuelans return to their country in last flight of this year

WILLEMSTAD - A third and last repatriated flight from Curaçao to Venezuela this year, arrived in Maiquetía with 91 passengers, of which 56% of the travelers were Falconians, 24% from Miranda state and the rest from Zulia and La Guaira.

The information was provided by Marisol Gutiérrez, Venezuelan consul for the islands of Curaçao, St. Maarten, Saba and St. Eustatius, who stressed that this last trip of 2020 was completed on December 21, for those Venezuelans who did not have the opportunity to integrate the list of the first two trips.

Likewise, the consul pointed out that the flight allowed several residents of Curaçao and St. Maarten, 21 in total, who were stranded in Venezuela, to return.

It was the third repatriation flight made by the Laser airline, flight QL9957, on the Curaçao - Maiquetía route. A charter flight managed by the government of Curaçao and the Consulate of Venezuela on the island. Curacao Handling Agent was in charge of arranging tickets, according to information provided by Consul Gutiérrez.

Gutiérrez stressed that all health biosafety protocols were complied with and that all passengers were subjected to the PCR test before the flight and were notified of the mandatory use of face masks during the flight.
