WILLEMSTAD – On Friday, February 13, 2026, a delegation from the GreenKidz Foundation, accompanied by a film crew, paid a visit to the Governor of Curaçao, Mauritsz de Kort, for the presentation of their short film “Tene Korsou Limpi.”
“Tene Korsou Limpi” is a short, humorous yet confronting film created with Curaçao schoolchildren and aimed primarily at a young local audience. The film addresses the issue of street littering in a fresh and engaging way, with children stepping into the roles of police officers, judges, and lawyers, handing out unexpected penalties to adults who pollute public spaces. Several scenes were filmed inside the historic old courthouse in Punda, adding a distinctive local backdrop to the production.

The aim of the film is to encourage both children and adults to take greater responsibility for keeping the island clean, using humor and role reversal to deliver its message in an accessible and memorable manner.
During the presentation, the foundation also briefed the Governor on its broader activities within the Curaçao community. Particular attention was given to the organization’s work with children who have learning difficulties, including those in the MLK and ZMLK education streams.
The meeting concluded with an exchange on the importance of environmental awareness and inclusive educational initiatives, underscoring the shared commitment to fostering civic responsibility among Curaçao’s younger generations.
