Governor Reflects on the 70th Anniversary Celebration of the Kingdom Charter

WILLEMSTAD On Tuesday, January 28, 2025, the Governor of Curaçao, H.E. Lucille George-Wout, reflected on the celebration of the 70th anniversary of the Charter for the Kingdom of the Netherlands. She did so in the presence of those who contributed to the exhibitions displayed during the open days at the Governor’s House on December 14 and 15. 

Attendees included: 

Ms. Sheryl Losiabaar, Secretary of the Electoral Council, who curated an exhibition on general elections in Curaçao since 1937. 

Ms. Thamara Moreno-Vervuurt, Director and Curator of Museo Mongui Maduro, who highlighted the creation of the Charter. 

Mr. Raymond van der Zeeuw, Head of Consular Affairs at the Governor’s Cabinet, who provided insights into the implementation of the Kingdom Act on Dutch Nationality. 

Mr. Anko van der Woude, who led guided tours during the open days and explained, among other things, the reorganization of portraits of former governors in the Governor’s House. 

During the event, the Governor also received the outcomes of the workshop "Reflection on the Charter for the Kingdom of the Netherlands," organized by Museo Mongui Maduro.
