Local | By Press release November 7, 2022

WILLEMSTAD - On Wednesday, November 2, the Governor of Curaçao, Her Excellency Lucille George-Wout, invited the Electoral Council of Curaçao for lunch. By National Ordinance, the Electoral Council is charged with, among other things, the organization of elections for Parliament and has an advisory role with regard to matters relating to electoral law and the electoral system. In addition, the Council has an independent position vis-à-vis the government and Parliament.

During this lunch, the Governor took the opportunity to thank the members, Mr. Raymond “Pacheco” Römer and Mr. Charles do Rego, who recently resigned, for all their work. In addition, the Governor handed over to the gentlemen a miniature of the Governor's Palace.
