WILLEMSTAD, ORANJESTAD - From May 26 to 28, 2024, the Governor of Curaçao, H.E. Lucille George-Wout, made a working visit to Aruba for consultations with her fellow Governors: the Governor of Sint Maarten, H.E. Ajumi Baly, and the Governor of Aruba, H.E. Alfonso Boekhoudt. Additionally, a G3+ meeting took place between the three Governors and the Secretary of State for Kingdom Relations, Ms. Alexandra van Huffelen. The G3+ meetings occur at least twice a year, discussing current matters of common interest among the countries and Kingdom affairs.
During the visit, the Governors and the Secretary of State also visited the University of Aruba, where the delegation received a tour of the Maria Convent and an explanation of the Sustainable Island Solutions through Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (SISSTEM) program. The dinner included a moment to reflect on the upcoming farewell of Secretary of State Ms. van Huffelen.
