WILLEMSTAD - The government has a new salary administration system for civil servants. This new system was installed last Saturday. They use Centric, a software that falls under the new MOTION program. This can be read on the government's website.
The software is mainly easier to manage around payroll, taxes, and human resources than the software that was previously used. All information is stored in a data center in the Netherlands. The software is also used in other European countries and even worldwide.
The software currently has a capacity of a total of 7000 employees, whose data is stored. This only concerns the personal data of civil servants. The government of Curaçao has been working with Centric since 2016, but has been working on an upgrade of the program in recent months. The Minister of Administration, Planning and Services Ornelia 'Kid' Martina says she is pleased with this progress within the government.
