Government Tightens Rules on Incomplete Immigration Applications

| By Correspondent March 18, 2026

WILLEMSTAD – The government of Curaçao is tightening its requirements for immigration applications, warning that incomplete submissions will no longer be processed.

According to new policy changes effective April 1, 2026, applicants must submit a complete file from the outset, including a valid passport copy, completed application form, proof of payment, and all required supporting documents.

Authorities emphasize that incomplete applications have been a major cause of delays. The previous policy allowing applicants six weeks to correct missing documents has now been abolished, meaning incomplete requests will simply not be considered.
