Government starts trial with new guard rail

WILLEMSTAD - The government will start a trial this year with a new type of guard rail. The so-called Roller barriers. The classic guardrail has no long life on the island and is therefore expensive to maintain.

The test must demonstrate that it can be cheaper and also safer. The new crash barriers will be tested at the end of this year on a 200-meter stretch on the ring road at the Juliana Bridge. The exact location is not yet known.

Between Seru Arrarat and Seru Domi the crash barrier is currently being repaired in the old way.
