Local, | By Press release June 24, 2026

WILLEMSTAD – Several government service offices will close at noon on Thursday, June 25, to allow civil servants and the public to follow and support Curaçao’s national football team as it competes in the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

The announcement was made by the Ministry of Governance, Planning and Public Service (BPD), which said public services will end at 12:00 p.m. due to the national team's participation in the historic tournament.

According to the ministry, the adjusted schedule is intended to give both citizens and government employees the opportunity to watch and support Curaçao during what it described as a special sporting occasion for the country.

The early closure will affect several public service agencies, including the Civil Registry and Driver’s License Office, the Permit Service Desk in Saliña, the Community Service Desk at Sambil, and the National Archives.

Residents who need to conduct business at any of these offices are advised to do so before noon or make arrangements for another day.

The ministry thanked the public for its understanding and extended its best wishes to the national team as Curaçao continues its historic World Cup campaign.
