Government of Curaçao launches multimedia platform for its own communication

Local | By Correspondent February 17, 2023

WILLEMSTAD - The Directorate of Communication and Information of Curaçao has developed a multimedia platform called Gob. Government information is presented on it through various programs. This platform can be accessed through the government's website and social media.

The platform is also accessible through various government public services and includes an internal portal dedicated to government employees.

Some of Gob's programs and segments are Gobièrnu na Plaka chikí, which focuses on the government, Ki bo ke men, a podcast on current topics, and Bon pa Sa, which focuses on government statistics and facts and the services the government provides.

In addition, there is the program Mi T'Ámtenar, which shows government employees and their work during the day to give a better picture of who the civil servant is and what his work entails. Finally, there is also Puntra Fòrti 17, where the Prime Minister will answer questions from the community.

Another change that already became visible at the end of 2022 is the new design and the new images from the government. More use will be made of modern illustrations, combining image and text to communicate more effectively.

To make this possible, investments have been made in a local image bank with more than 10,000 images, called GovStock. This image bank is intended for internal use.
