WILLEMSTAD – The Minister of Traffic, Transport and Urban Planning, Charles Cooper, has granted approval to FKL Corporation B.V., operating under the name Falki Airways, to conduct flights within the Caribbean region with Curaçao as its central hub.
The authorization, formalized in a Ministerial Decree issued on March 20, 2026, allows the airline to operate routes between the ABC islands as well as other destinations across the Caribbean and the surrounding mainland for a period of five years.
According to the decree, the decision is based on a positive recommendation from the Director-General of the Curaçao Civil Aviation Authority, issued on February 9, 2026.
With this approval, Falki Airways is positioned to expand regional air connectivity, potentially strengthening Curaçao’s role as a transportation hub in the Caribbean.
The development comes at a time when demand for inter-island travel and regional connections continues to grow, alongside ongoing efforts to improve accessibility and mobility within the region.
Further details on routes, fleet, and the start of operations have not yet been disclosed.
