WILLEMSTAD - The government is considering solutions for waste management issues in Curaçao. They are reportedly searching for suitable solutions for the island, as announced by the Ministry of Health, Environment, and Nature (GMN) on Sunday.

The government, along with officials from GMN, is in discussions with companies specialized in recycling and waste management. A Colombian company focusing on recycling and landfill operations has provided a presentation on their "waste-to-energy" installations. A visit to a Dutch waste management company is scheduled for the end of June. Last year, the government also hosted international companies such as Waste to Power and Cadwell, specializing in waste management.
These visits to various companies aim to gather information on which company offers the best solutions for waste management issues in Curaçao. The timing of any concrete decision has not been disclosed.
