WILLEMSTAD - The Public Prosecution Service has offered a reward of 5,000 guilders for the golden tip that will lead to the arrest of murder suspect Xiomar Girigori Remigio Winklaar, aka Taito.

The suspect Curacaoan, born on March 31, 1999 and living in Kaya Meteorológiko 47, is said to have shot the 29-year-old Jahier Rudolph Evertsz on January 6, 2020 at Kaya Neblina in Ser'i Papaya. Since then, the suspect has been hiding in an unknown place.

Since the murder, rumors have spread that "Taito" actually wanted to kill the victim's brother and accidentally shot Jahier. He will not come out of hiding until he has completed the job that he wanted to do from the beginning. The police have not been able to confirm these rumors so far.

The police, together with the Public Prosecution Service (OM), are investigating this matter in order to arrest and resolve the matter as quickly as possible. In this context, an urgent appeal is made to the Curaçao community to provide information about the suspect's whereabouts.

Anyone who has the golden tip that will lead to the arrest of Taito will receive a reward of 5,000 guilders. Tips can be passed on via the anonymous tip line 108.
