WILLEMSTAD - Goisco is set to open a second supermarket on Curaçao, with the new location taking over the former Cost-U-Less building on Jan Noorduynweg. This news has been confirmed by Joel da Silva Gois, the company’s director.
Preparations for the opening are already underway, according to recent observations and Da Silva Goes' confirmation.
Goisco has a long history on the island. It started as Central Madeirense, a small market that was transformed into the current Goisco location at Biesheuvel in 1997. In 2014, Goisco expanded and became the largest supermarket in the Caribbean, with a store spanning 11,000 square meters.
With the upcoming opening of Goisco-II, the company continues its growth. The exact opening date for the new location has not yet been announced.
