WILLEMSTAD – Giselle Rosalia will lead the candidate list of Mouvement Kousa Promé (MKP) in the upcoming elections. For the first time, party leader René Rosalia is stepping back, handing the reins to his daughter. René will remain in the party's leadership, occupying the sixth spot on the list, where he will continue supporting the party's efforts to secure a seat in the Parliament of Curaçao.
MKP places significant importance on effective succession and aims to offer young people the opportunity to ensure the party's continuity. Giselle Rosalia is described by the party as well-prepared, motivated, and determined to take on her new role as the head of the list. The rest of the top five is formed by Ellen Maduro-Jeandor (2), Indira Boelbaai (3), Roderick Rosaria (4), and Mariane Isenia (5).
The candidate list was presented during an open day in Dominguito, where a mural was also unveiled with the phrase: ‘Solamente un pueblo konsiente te haña e gobiernu ku e ta merese’ ("Only a conscious people can achieve the government it deserves").
Founded by René Rosalia, MKP has yet to secure a seat in parliament, but the party remains hopeful that this new leadership will bring a change in its electoral fortunes.
