Gasoline and diesel prices rise slightly

Local | By Correspondent November 28, 2022

WILLEMSTAD - Fuel prices will rise slightly from November 29. This is reported by the Bureau of Telecommunication and Post (BT&P). The rate for water and electricity will decrease with effect from Thursday 1 December.

The price for a liter of gasoline increases by at least less than half a cent. Last month the price was 2,349 guilders and from next week you will pay 2,353 guilders. In October, 2.19 guilders was paid for a liter of diesel, next month this will be 2.22 guilders per liter.

The price of electricity will go from 0.78 cents per kilowatt of electricity to 0.70 cents from 1 December. The water bill will also be lower at the end of the month. Last month, consumers paid 9.69 guilders for a cubic meter of water, from 1 December this will drop to 9.23 guilders per cubic meter. According to BT&P, the decrease in electricity rates is due to lower average fuel costs for electricity production due to the expected so-called 'production mix'. The wind in particular played a large part in this.
