NEW ORLEANS - Gabriela Dos Santos from Curaçao shone in her national costume on Wednesday during the Miss Universe primary in New Orleans. The preliminary competition and the national costume competition took place on Wednesday evening.
Dos Santos says she is extremely satisfied with her performance and the contact with the jury. The miss wore a glittery dress with the Curaçao flag on the inside and a basket of fish. Dos Santos presented herself as the 'fisherman's wife', to illustrate the local fishing culture. During the preliminary competition, Gabriela could be seen in a cape with, among other things, the rainbow flag and the clenched fist against slavery.
A total of 84 misses participate in the 71st edition of Miss Universe. The final will take place this Saturday at 8 p.m.
