WILLEMSTAD - The Fundashon Dos Bui pa Kòrsou has recently sought the involvement of the Dutch College of Procurators General, expressing a lack of confidence in Curaçao’s Attorney General, Guillano Schoop.
The foundation has criticized Schoop's handling of a case concerning the debt forgiveness of Finance Minister Javier Silvania. According to the foundation, “Schoop has repeatedly ignored instructions from the Court and is intentionally delaying the case, giving Silvania more time to prepare.”
Additionally, Schoop failed to comply with a Court order to respond to the foundation's complaint within six weeks, only submitting his response nearly two months later.
A second hearing in the case is scheduled to take place at the Court on October 29.
