WILLEMSTAD – The government of Curaçao has announced that fuel prices will rise starting next Tuesday. Both gasoline and diesel will become more expensive, while the prices of large and small gas cylinders will remain unchanged.
The price of gasoline will increase from 2.044 to 2.076 Caribbean guilders per liter. Diesel will go up from 1.574 to 1.636 guilders per liter.
In contrast, there is some relief for consumers: the cost of water and electricity is expected to decrease after August 1, according to the government statement. Further details on the rate reductions for utilities are expected to follow in the coming days.
