WILLEMSTAD - On 12 March, the Alzheimer Curaçao Foundation started taking free memory tests in various pharmacies to detect dementia at an early stage. The person receives the results of the memory test on site so that the doctor can use the result for further examination and treatment.

Practical tips are also shared with the person to reduce the prevalence of dementia. Worldwide, someone is diagnosed with dementia every three seconds. The Alzheimer Curaçao Foundation wants to conduct as many memory tests as possible in the months of March, April and May to raise awareness and prevent dementia.

The schedule of the planned memory tests is available in various pharmacies and doctor's practices.
