WILLEMSTAD – One hundred young adults will have the opportunity to participate free of charge in the Ministry of Justice's first-ever Justice Bootcamp, an initiative designed to inspire the next generation of law enforcement and public safety professionals.
The ministry announced that participation is limited to the first 100 applicants who meet the eligibility requirements.
Applicants must be Dutch nationals between the ages of 18 and 35, possess a valid identification document and submit a video of no more than 60 seconds explaining why they should be selected for the program.
Registration is available through the ministry's recruitment website, and applicants will receive confirmation within 48 hours indicating whether they have qualified for the bootcamp.
Before the program begins, all selected participants will attend an information session where they will receive details about the training schedule, required equipment and how to prepare for the four-day experience.
Participation in the bootcamp is free, and each participant will receive an official T-shirt to wear during the activities.
The Ministry of Justice says the program is intended to remove barriers for young people interested in learning about careers in public safety while giving them direct exposure to the realities of working in the police force, fire service or correctional system.
The ministry is encouraging all eligible young adults interested in making a difference in Curaçao's safety and security to register as soon as possible, noting that places are limited to the first 100 qualified applicants.
