WILLEMSTAD – Public bus company Autobusbedrijf Curaçao (ABC) and the Fortuna loyalty program are joining forces to offer free rides to all cardholders on Wednesday, July 2, in celebration of Dia di Bandera, Curaçao’s national flag day. Travelers simply need to show their Fortuna card or app to ride for free. 

The partnership between ABC and Fortuna has been in place since December 2023. Typically, Fortuna members can redeem points for bus rides, with a standard trip costing 145 points. However, on this special day, both companies are making an exception by offering unlimited free rides to program members. 

"We invite all Fortuna users to celebrate our national day in a different way," said ABC in a statement. The initiative is described as a gift to the Curaçaoan community and an effort to encourage more residents to use public transportation during the national holiday.
