On Monday, June 23, the Organized Crime Division, in collaboration with the Immigration Department, detained four men—three nationals of Saint Lucia and one from Curaçao. The men are suspected of being involved in the illegal transport of people.
According to police, all four individuals voluntarily turned themselves in at the Barber police station. They were presented before an assistant public prosecutor, who ordered their detention pending further investigation.
Authorities continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the abandoned vessel and the broader human trafficking operation. More updates will be provided as the case develops.
