WILLEMSTAD - The Dutch foundation Help the Schoolchildren of Curaçao has learning material but cannot send it to Curaçao. School boards on the island no longer have the financial means to pay for transport costs.

The organization, therefore, makes an appeal to the business community to contribute.

Since its establishment in February 2017, the foundation has delivered a total of 42 containers to 63 educational institutions in Curaçao. For a total value of 6.6 million guilders.

In addition, all school boards subsidized by the government were helped. The most necessary school furniture has been replaced, but not everything.

Schools in the Netherlands approach the foundation if they replace teaching materials and furniture. There are currently several schools that are going to acquire new furniture and are offering the old ones that are in very good condition.
