WILLEMSTAD – Former Prime Minister of Curaçao Gerrit Schotte wants to go to court in regular clothes. On Friday, there is a civil case concerning the role of Italian justice in his conviction for official corruption and money laundering.

The prison management simply brings the leader of the MFK to court in prison uniform. According to Charles Cooper, this is against the rights of prisoners.

The warden says that he is won’t give the political leader any preferential treatment. Schotte will be treated just like any other prison.
