WILLEMSTAD - The Parliament of Curaçao has approved the credentials of former minister and PNP leader Ruthmilda "Mimi" Larmonie-Cecilia. Following her oath-taking before the Governor, she will officially assume her role as a member of Parliament.
A special committee consisting of members Eduard Braam (MFK), Ana-Maria Pauletta (PAR), and Sheldry Osepa (PNP) reviewed Larmonie-Cecilia’s credentials during a meeting earlier today. The committee verified that all documents were in order and confirmed that the credentials met the necessary requirements.
Larmonie-Cecilia will replace her fellow PNP party member, Elvin Gerard, who will step down from his seat on November 1. After taking her oath, she will formally join the Parliament of Curaçao.
The process was conducted without any debate, and the decision was unanimously approved by the Parliament.
