Former Governor will not speak at symposium

Local | By Correspondent September 22, 2023

THE HAGUE - The previously announced presentation by former governor Jaime Saleh at the symposium "Living Culture and Sustainable Society within the Kingdom" at The Hague City Hall will not take place. The reason for this decision is the recent controversy surrounding Saleh's role in the Ennia Group and the government of Pisas' request for "maximum restraint" in public appearances.

The symposium, organized by the BeNeLux University Center (BUC) for Science, Culture, and Humanity, originally featured Saleh on the agenda. He was supposed to discuss the constitutional relations within the Kingdom and the importance of the Benelux for the Caribbean region.

However, due to continued insistence and the current public controversy over his involvement in Ennia's issues, where he served on the Board of Commissioners, Saleh has decided to withdraw from the event.
