WILLEMSTAD - The Fundashon Maneho di Adikshon (FMA) warns against the use of the Vape Pen by young people. This smoke is harmful to the lungs and brain.
Daniella Pengel of FMA explains that the Vape-Pen is a replacement for the cigarette, but that many people do not know that it is equally harmful. Especially for young people whose lungs and brains are not yet fully grown, the use can have major consequences. Smoking a Vape Pen can cause you to cough, get a sore throat, develop asthma or bronchitis and even lose your sense of taste.
The FMA gives lectures and workshops about the Vape-Pen in schools. There they found out that there are already 11-year-old children who 'vape'. It even happens that the parents buy the pens for the children.
