WILLEMSTAD - Flow, Curaçao's largest telecom and internet provider, has announced a major reorganization that could affect 51 jobs. The restructuring aims to improve customer service and increase operational efficiency.
The plan includes phasing out 37 current customer service positions and 14 roles at the company's headquarters. Many of the affected employees will have the opportunity to reapply for internal positions.
According to Bart Hofker, Vice President for the Dutch Caribbean at Flow, the company is heavily investing in new technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI) and digitalization. These innovations are designed to give employees more autonomy in solving complex issues, ultimately reducing wait times for customers and improving service efficiency.
Flow emphasized that existing employees will be given priority during the recruitment process for the new positions, and the company is committed to supporting the affected staff throughout the transition.
The restructuring is expected to be completed by early 2025.
