Five drivers arrested during alcohol checkpoint in Bapor Kibra

WILLEMSTAD – Five drivers were arrested during an alcohol checkpoint conducted by the Curaçao Police Force (KPC) on Friday evening in the Bapor Kibra area.

According to police, a total of 26 vehicles were stopped and inspected as part of the control operation aimed at improving road safety and preventing driving under the influence.

Two drivers had their licenses confiscated after testing above the legal alcohol limit. In addition, officers issued 15 fines for various violations, including driving without insurance, lacking a valid inspection certificate, and operating a vehicle with a tinted windshield.

Police say such controls will continue as part of ongoing efforts to enhance traffic safety and enforce compliance with road regulations.
