Five Arrested in Connection with Armed Casino Robbery in Curaçao

WILLEMSTAD – Police arrested five individuals on Wednesday morning in connection with an armed robbery at a casino that took place on March 23. The operation also led to the seizure of firearms, vehicles, cash, and other evidence. 

The Arrest Team carried out coordinated raids at four homes located on Oeralweg, Americaweg, Nigerweg, and Kaya Yen. According to the Curaçao Police Force, three men from the Dominican Republic, aged 44, 47, and 35, were apprehended as primary suspects in the robbery. 

Two additional individuals—a 36-year-old Colombian woman and a 32-year-old Dominican man—were detained for lacking valid residency documents. They have been handed over to Immigration Services pending deportation procedures. 

During the home searches, police confiscated two firearms, three vehicles, a scooter, a significant amount of cash, and various pieces of evidence related to the robbery. 

The three main suspects remain in custody as the investigation continues. Authorities have not yet disclosed further details about the robbery or the amount of money stolen.
