WILLEMSTAD - Anyone who wants to eat fish during Holy Week, in the run-up to Good Friday and Easter, will pay dearly. So expensive that the Consumer Association states that it has become almost unaffordable.
The union compared the prices of 102 different types of fish dishes in sixteen stores and found large price differences. Despite the large price differences, the Consumers' Association has drawn up a top three list of the best-stocked supermarkets and the supermarket with the best prices.
The top three best-stocked supermarkets are Mangusa Hypermarket with 78 products, Mangusa Rio with 74 products, and Bon Bini Supermarket with 68 fish products.
The top three supermarkets with the best prices are Mangusa Hypermarket with 34 cheapest fish products, followed by Mangusa Rio with 30 products, and third place Bon Bini Supermarket with fifteen cheapest fish products.
