WILLEMSTAD - Curaçao now has access to a Tier-IV certified data center through Blue NAP Americas. Tier IV is the highest achievable standard for data centers worldwide in the Uptime Institute classification system.
The Tier classification system determines the degree of redundancy of a data center. The higher the rating, the better the continuity and availability. The Blue NAP Americas data center has become the first and only regional data center to achieve a Tier IV stamp.
The benefits of a data center receiving Tier-IV certification means businesses can now enjoy world-class management, operations, and 100% uptime of all critical resources.
“We worked closely with the Uptime Institute to ensure the design met the very strict Tier-IV certification requirements, said Andres Vasquez, Global Segment Director, Schneider Electric.”
“We supported Blue NAP Americas with the design, budget approvals, construction, start-up and launch of operations. The most important aspect of any data center, but especially a Tier-IV certified data center, is the critical electrical power supply, distribution and management.”
