WILLEMSTAD - Last Saturday, the first phase of Soto Arena in Soto was officially opened. The event drew a large crowd as the newly renovated sports field, which now features a fresh grass surface, was unveiled. The ceremony included performances by various musical groups and two friendly matches following the official opening. A representative from Reda Sosial, the organization overseeing the entire project, delivered a speech. Government officials, who financed the Soto Arena project, were also present.
Sharlon Betrian, the president of Fundashon Don Sarto, stated that Soto Arena will be completed in multiple phases. The second phase will involve work on the scoreboard, the stands, and a building at the entrance, which will also serve as a ticket sales point. In the third and final phase, the stands will be completed, and new changing rooms will be built. A specific date for the next phases of the project has not yet been set.
