WILLEMSTAD - On Monday morning, firefighters went on strike in solidarity with a colleague whose computer was confiscated by management without warning. The incident happened the previous week and when the employee arrived at work on Monday, his computer was no longer on his desk. When he approached management, he was informed that it had been confiscated and that no one had been informed. This action was seen as disrespectful and outrageous to the staff, according to Gregory Wilson of ABVO. 

The relationship between the employee and management had not been smooth for some time, but Wilson explained that this kind of behavior from management is unacceptable. Therefore, the firefighters decided to take immediate action and stop working in solidarity with their colleague. After the incident, they immediately reported to the ABVO in Brievengat. 

The situation remains unclear as to how it will be resolved, and it is important for the management to address the concerns of the employees. This incident highlights the importance of respectful and transparent communication between management and staff in the workplace.
