WILLEMSTAD – A significant internet outage is affecting various parts of southern Curaçao, leaving both FLOW and Digicel customers without connection. According to FLOW, the disruption was caused by a fire at a residence in Otrobanda last night, which damaged critical fiber optic cables.
The outage has severely impacted both individuals and businesses, including media outlets such as Èxtra, which report significant disruptions to their operations. Areas currently without internet include Otrobanda, Marchena, Mundu Nobo, and Jan Doret.
FLOW has confirmed that their technical team is on-site assessing the damage and working to resolve the issue as quickly as possible. The company has apologized for the inconvenience and asked customers for patience while services are being restored.
