Finance Ministry Presents 2027 Capital Budget Framework to Council of Ministers

WILLEMSTAD – The Ministry of Finance has presented the preliminary framework for Curaçao’s Capital Service (Kapitaaldienst) 2027 to the Council of Ministers as part of the government’s preparations for the 2027 national budget and the multi-year financial planning process.

The presentation took place on Wednesday, July 29, 2026, and focused on the progress and guiding principles for the further development of government investment projects.

The Capital Service forms an important part of the government’s budget planning, as it addresses investments and projects planned for the coming years. During the meeting, ministers were updated on the current status of preparations and the approach for evaluating and developing future government projects.

Representing the Ministry of Finance were acting Secretary-General Lysette Melfor and financial policy and budget management specialists Carvin Eustatius, Shayna Royer and Hayworth Felipa.

The session provided an opportunity for discussion, coordination and clarification of questions among members of the Council of Ministers. According to the ministry, the meeting is part of the government’s ongoing efforts to ensure that the preparation of the 2027 budget and related financial planning is carried out carefully and collectively.
