WILLEMSTAD, DUBAI - Finance Minister Javier Silvania has been invited to be a keynote speaker at the Annual International Conference and Exhibition (Aice) held in Dubai. Silvania informed Parliament of his invitation in a letter, which stated that May 5 would be the last day of the conference.

The theme of the conference is Free Zones and Ecosystems, and Silvania will be sharing his expertise on the subject. He is not the only representative from Curaçao attending the conference; Prime Minister Pisas is also present, along with a delegation from the customs department.

The prime minister will be staying in Dubai for an extra day and will return to Curaçao on Saturday. The presence of high-ranking officials from Curaçao at this international conference highlights the importance of international trade and commerce to the island.

According to Silvania attending conferences and exhibitions such as Aice provides opportunities for Curaçao to showcase its potential as a business hub and attract new investors. It also allows government officials to network and gain insights into global economic trends and strategies, which can inform policymaking at home.

Silvania's presence as a keynote speaker is an indication of his expertise in the field of finance and his importance to the island's economy. This is a positive development for Curaçao, as it demonstrates its commitment to remaining competitive in the global market and strengthening its position as a strategic player in international commerce.
