Fifteen home burglaries in one week

WILLEMSTAD - The number of burglaries in the last week of November increased sharply compared to the previous month. This is evident from figures from the Curaçao police.  

 

The police registered a large number of criminal cases in the last week of November. The so-called high-impact crimes, such as home burglaries, robberies, and car theft, are registered by the police and the judiciary. In the week from November 28 to December 4, no less than fifteen home burglaries were reported. There was also talk of an armed robbery on the Caracasbaaiweg that week.  

 

There were five reports of car theft and one report of a car break-in. In addition, the police reported three business burglaries. These all took place between 3 a.m. and 7 a.m.  

 

There were also twelve cases of domestic violence.
