WILLEMSTAD - The Curaçao Football Federation (FFK) has officially announced Johan van Heertum as the new head coach of the Curaçao Women’s National Team. His appointment is considered a major step in the continued development and professionalization of women’s football on the island.

Van Heertum brings decades of international experience, having served 35 years with the Royal Dutch Football Association (KNVB). He previously coached the Netherlands U-19 Women’s National Team and has worked as assistant coach for the Dutch U-17 Women’s selection.
Throughout his career, he has also guided several youth categories, including U-15, U-16 and U-17, earning a strong reputation for player development and strategic leadership.
Debut Match Scheduled for 30 November
Van Heertum will make his official debut as Curaçao’s head coach on 30 November, when the women’s national team faces Panama in an important international match.
The FFK extended a warm welcome to Van Heertum and expressed full confidence in his ability to lead and elevate women’s football on Curaçao.
