WILLEMSTAD - Political parties MFK and PAR are arguing on social media. Finance Minister Javier Silvania of the MFK party accuses former Justice Minister Quincy Girigorie of the opposition party PAR of making several mistakes during his ministry.
This includes involvement in the disappearance of 600 kilograms of cocaine. Silvania also believes that Girigorie should never have signed for extra funds for the Coast Guard, while Curaçao was then in the middle of the corona crisis.
Girigorie responded to the situation on Radio MAS on Friday. He said that, in the case of the Coast Guard, it was an international decision by the four ministers within the Kingdom. Girigorie emphasizes that Silvania and Pisas themselves signed the Country Packages, which mention this.
In addition, Silvania would manipulate information. Girigorie thinks that the developments around the refinery are taking forever and there is no transparency whatsoever from the government. Most of the documents are forged. Prospective operator CPR, according to the PAR leader, does not have enough budget to operate the refinery.
The finance minister would bully people online and he would mistreat his bodyguards. Pisas would cover this up. The former minister believed that Silvania is not doing much and is only looking for 'the likes' on social media.
