THE HAGUE - Femke Zeedijk has been appointed as the new chair of the Dutch House of Representatives Committee for Kingdom Relations. Zeedijk, a member of the NSC faction since December 6, will take over leadership of the committee, with Songül Mutluer (GroenLinks-PvdA) selected as vice-chair.

Zeedijk, born in 1974, brings a wealth of experience to her new role. Prior to becoming an MP, she worked as a strategic advisor at ASML and was a partner at Pipple, a company specializing in data and information science. In 2014, she briefly served as a temporary council member for D66 in Geldrop-Mierlo. Zeedijk’s professional background also includes positions at KLM and Rabobank.
The committee chairmanship had been held by Wieke Paulusma (D66) since the November 2023 elections. Zeedijk’s appointment is expected to bring fresh leadership to the committee’s work on Kingdom Relations.
