WILLEMSTAD - Fundashon Desaroyo Deportivo Kòrsou (FDDK) is pleased to announce that the popular "Summer Games 2025" event, (fakansi plan) which takes place annually during the summer holidays, will be repeated in August to give more children and young people the opportunity to participate. 

The previous edition in July (July 14, 15, 16, and 17) was a great success, with many children participating in and enjoying sports and creative activities. However, we noticed that many people were unaware of this event, resulting in many children not registering or missing out. To address this and involve more participants, FDDK has decided to repeat the "Summer Games 2025" with two additional days.  

Event Information 

Date: Thursday, August 14th and Friday, August 15th, 2025 

Opening Hours: 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM 

Location: Sentro Deportivo Kòrsou (SDK) 

Age Group: Children aged 4 to 13  

The Summer Games are an event specifically organized to promote the holistic development of children and young people. In a friendly, controlled, and inspiring environment. Participants can practice various sports, make new friends, and learn about the importance of teamwork, respect, discipline, and a healthy lifestyle. 

FDDK attaches great importance to the safety of all participants. Therefore, in collaboration with the Curaçao Volunteer Corps (VKC), trained volunteers will be actively present to create a safe and organized environment during the two days of the activity. In addition, we have guides, coordinators, and trained staff who are constantly available to assist and guide the children. 

We invite all families, schools, and communities to encourage our children to participate. The ‘Summer Games’ are more than just sports; they're a place for development, inclusion, and fun. It's a time for our children to learn new things, get active, and have fun in a healthy and positive environment.
