FC Bami Crowned Champions of the Third Dushi Cup After Dramatic Final

WILLEMSTAD – The third edition of the Dushi Cup ended in spectacular fashion on Sunday, with FC Bami claiming the title after a thrilling penalty shootout victory over Madero United. The final, held at the Ergilio Hato Stadium on the SDK grounds, saw FC Bami’s goalkeeper emerge as the hero by saving two penalties during the decisive shootout.

The tournament attracted around 300 spectators, who were treated to a festive mix of football, entertainment, and interactive side-events. Madero United, who had dominated the group stage by winning all seven of their matches, entered the final as clear favorites. However, despite their strong form, they fell short in the final moments and had to settle for second place. FC Lavish finished in third place.

Beyond the main competition, the event featured entertaining intermissions, including the "Middenstip Masters", a challenge where participants attempted to kick the ball as close as possible to the center spot from the 16-meter line. Winners Dante and Tom walked away with tickets to Klein Curaçao and a West Coast trip.

Another highlight was the return of the "Slip and Slide Penalty" contest, which added a humorous twist to traditional penalties. Madero United took the win in this event and earned a VIP table as their prize.

Organizers expressed satisfaction with the event’s turnout and success, and they are already planning the fourth edition of the Dushi Cup for December 2025.
