Extradition case Nuto Wawoe delayed again

Local | By Correspondent July 31, 2023

SANTA DOMINGO - The extradition case of three Dutch suspects, including Urvin 'Nuto' Wawoe, in the Dominican Republic has been postponed once again. This time, the reason is the defense attorneys' request for recusal.

Along with Nuto, there are two other suspects, namely Dennis Goedee and Terence Angelo Richard de Vries.

The exact reason for the recusal is not known. On June 13th, the case was already suspended at the request of the defense attorneys, who stated that they needed more time to study the case file.

The three Dutch citizens are identified as members of criminal organizations associated with the Mocro Maffia. The Public Prosecutor's Office considers Wawoe to be one of the key leaders of the No Limit Soldier gang, involved in drug trafficking, arms dealing, and murder across different countries within the Kingdom.

Dennis Goedee is linked to threats against the Dutch Royal Family, including Princess Amalia.

On April 19th, Wawoe declared that he had no affiliation with any criminal organization. The suspect claimed to have been living in the Dominican Republic for many years and to be unaware of any criminal groups.
