WILLEMSTAD - The Public Affairs Department (Kranshi) of the Ministry of Governance, Planning and Public Service (BPD) announced that it will open this Saturday, November 15, 2025, for an extra service day dedicated exclusively to passport applications — no appointment required.
Kranshi will be open from 8:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. to accommodate the growing number of passport requests typically seen toward the end of the year. The initiative aims to ensure optimal service and give citizens the opportunity to apply for their passports without needing a pre-scheduled appointment.
Authorities note that because applications will be processed on a walk-in basis, some waiting time may occur, but staff will work to keep delays to a minimum.
The list of required documents for new passport applications is available on the official government website: www.gobiernu.cw under Loket Digital.
Please note: Payments at Kranshi can only be made by swipe card or by bank deposit, in which case applicants must present a printed proof of payment (“hardcopy”) when submitting their application.
