WILLEMSTAD - The Curaçao government comes with an additional tax on fuel in April. A levy of 2.3 cents per liter has recently been announced for a period of four years.
But according to Prime Minister Eugene Rhuggenaath, a levy will be added next month. The money is needed for Curaçao Refinery Utilities, which is currently responsible for the refinery, after the departure of the former operator, the Venezuelan state company PdVSA.
