Extended Weekend Hours for ID Card Issuance on February 1-2, 2025

Local | By Correspondent January 30, 2025

WILLEMSTAD – The Department of Civil Affairs (Kranshi) has announced that on February 1 and 2, 2025, citizens will be able to obtain their ID cards (Sedula) without an appointment. This special arrangement aligns with Kranshi’s policy of providing additional opportunities for ID issuance during the Pre-Election period.

On these dates, citizens who wish to support a political party participating in the 2025 Pre-Election can register their endorsement. To do so, they must present valid identification within the designated three-week period using one of the following documents: Driver’s License, ID Card (Sedula), or Passport. In response to this requirement, Kranshi has created additional opportunities for citizens to obtain their ID cards.

Kranshi has extended its service hours on these dates. The office will be open on the weekend of February 1-2 from 8:00 AM to 7:30 PM, ensuring that more citizens can access this service.
