SCHIPHOL - The new entry rules of the Netherlands for travelers outside the EU do not apply to the Caribbean parts of the Kingdom. From December 22, all travelers from outside the EU or the Schengen countries must carry a negative test result, regardless of whether they have been vaccinated or not.
The test evidence to be submitted is of a PCR test up to 48 hours before departure or an antigen test up to 24 hours before departure. In addition, travelers from very high-risk areas must always be quarantined for ten days from Wednesday. This rule also applies to travelers with a vaccination or recovery certificate. This quarantine period can be shortened with a negative test at the GGD on the fifth day of the quarantine.
The new rules do not apply to travelers from Curaçao, Aruba, Sint Maarten, Bonaire, Sint Eustatius and Saba. Travelers who cannot show proof of vaccination must be able to present a negative test result. A recovery certificate is also valid for residents within the European Union.
The Netherlands is still a very high-risk area for Curaçao due to the high number of corona infections. All travelers aged twelve years and older must show a negative PCR test result for their stay in Curaçao, which is not older than 48 hours before departure. This rule also applies to people who are fully vaccinated.
