Entities swiftly responded to smoke incident caused by short circuit in warehouse located in economic zone Koningsplein

WILLEMSTAD - On Thursday, May 24, during the early morning hours, a fire alarm was triggered as smoke emerged from a warehouse in the Economic Zone at Koningsplein. The Security Corps of CURINDE immediately activated their established protocol in such cases. All relevant entities promptly took action and were swiftly mobilized. Fortunately, the situation was not severe, and it is currently under control. 

 

The Security Corps of CURINDE and other concerned institutions were promptly notified about the incident. Upon investigation, it was determined that the smoke resulted from a short circuit in one of the devices within the building. Contrary to media reports, there was no actual fire in the premises. CURINDE would like to assure the public that everything is calm and the situation is well-managed in the Economic Zone at Koningsplein. It can be concluded that no significant damage occurred. 

 

CURINDE extends its apologies for any inconvenience caused and acknowledges the necessary actions taken to address the incident.
